Chicken & Biltong Cordon Bleu

Chicken Cordon Bleu with a “regte egte” South African twist! Our sliced biltong makes this gorgeously cheesy recipe a must. Choose from Original, Hunters or Chilli flavoured biltong to get the taste you prefer.

  1. Butterfly the chicken breasts with a sharp knife.
  2. Fill the chicken breasts with cheese and biltong. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Fold the filled chicken breasts to cover their stuffing.
  4. Roll the folded chicken breast first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs and lastly in breadcrumbs.
  5. Deep fry the crumbed chicken breasts at 180 degrees celsius for 5 to 8 minutes, until cooked through and golden brown.
